Sponsor Portfolio To support its activities, the GVPAFA raises funds from a variety of sources, with corporate sponsors being an important area. The intent is to continually enhance our Corporate Partnership Program for Festival, as well as sponsorships for other special events and collaborations. Main responsibilities: 1. Help the Board to develop effective Festival sponsorship models in line with GVPAFA goals 2. Support the Marketing and Communications Director to produce high quality external communications including: a. sponsorship marketing materials, which clearly explain the GVPAF mission and how we contribute to our community b. benefits of association with Festival c. press releases which acknowledge sponsors 3. Attend the Fund Raising Committee, and other Board committees as required 4. Consistently engage with existing sponsors throughout the year to secure and acknowledge Festival sponsorship funds and in-kind contributions in line with sponsor commitments 5. Build and maintain external relationships with potential sponsors, corporate partners, and supporters to provide the Board with additional options 6. Keep good records of all interactions with the corporate sector to enable transparency and continuity Skills & Personal Qualities: We are looking for a confident and authentic communicator, who is detail oriented and organized, and has strong written and verbal communication skills. You should have a good familiarity with the Greater Victoria District performing arts scene, and a solid understanding of why companies initiate and sustain charitable sponsorships for the Arts. You should be comfortable working with senior contacts, a great listener, display a mixture of tact and assertiveness, and be a creative problem solver.
