$15 · ANTIQUE GLASS ROLLING PIN BY MARYLAND GLASS COMPANY USA (1920-1930’S)

Morning meetup at London Drugs on Yates. Excellent condition. As you can see from some of the online listings these sell for up to $90! Some sites show it from 1907-1920’s. It has no cracks or chips and has a new cork as the original disintegrated eventually! It is 14” overall and a 3” diameter barrel. It weighs about 1.5 pounds. It has the “M” (Maryland Glass Company) embossed on the end of the handle. My mom was an accomplished baker and had flour in it to shake onto the pastry and board but it can also be used to put ice and cold water in to keep the pastry cold when rolling out. A chance to own a lovely rare old piece! Most of the ones for sale have the screw top ends (and usually missing the cap) and they’re from the 40-50’s.
