I am 47 years old and have Duchenne's Muscular Dystrophy. I require assistance with all aspects of daily living. I’m currently looking to fill a 24-hour shifts. Ideally, I’m looking for 24-hour shifts but would consider 12-hour and 8-hour shifts. Are you available to work extra shifts from time to time? I live in a house in Langford near Walmart. The pay is $21.00/hour for 20 hours (4 hours you are not paid for, classified as sleeping time). This is what the government allows me to pay. Yes, I’m trying to get wages increased. I have a power wheelchair and a ceiling track lift to help me from bed to wheelchair, so no heavy lifting is required. I use a ventilator to help me breathe. No previous caregiver training is needed. All the training you will need to help me will be provided. Bonus if you have a driver’s license as I have my own accessible Van. Other requirements: Criminal record check, First Aid and CPR Certificate (or willingness to obtain upon hire). Current TB Test (upon offer of employment). If you are interested in the job, send me your questions for more details. Thanks, Chuck
