It is very important that the individual possesses a strong organization, with an ability to be adaptable and pay close attention to detail. Job Description: - Guide, organize and engage the entire housekeeping team - Ensure clean, superior guest rooms & public areas; efficient operation of the in-house laundry facilities - Acts as a steward of the departmental resources and assets, operating with effective controls, processes and procedures - Ensure that all Health & Safety requirements are being met at all times - Provide a high standard of customer service by efficiently and accurately dealing with all guests - Plan and co-ordinates tasks of staff including employee schedules and the organization of opening & closing duties - Manage the performance of housekeeping staff by providing ongoing coaching; discipline, performance improvement, developing high potentials and rewarding high performers - Ensure that new employees have completed and passed the standard, mandatory training program - Ensure regular guest room inspections and public area inspections are being completed and tabulated for ongoing records - Ensure a safe work environment is provided for all housekeeping staff Skills Requirements: - Secondary education - 2+ years of experience in related hospitality sector - 2+ years of supervisory experience - Knowledge of WHMIS and commercial cleaning products, chemicals, and solutions - Friendly and professional - Time management - organizing, planning, and prioritizing - Able to cope with the physical demands of the job, including occasional heavy lifting, pushing heavy carts, kneeling, crouching, etc. - Reliable and a team player Email resume to motel6recruits@gmail.com As an equal opportunity employer, we encourage applications from all qualified individuals and specifically applicants from traditionally underrepresented groups – including Indigenous persons, vulnerable youth, newcomers, and persons with disabilities – who may contribute to the continued diversification of our organization.
