Calling all Plant Enthusiasts! EDEN Projects is looking for a Budding Garden Designer. Do you “Nerd out on plants” and love horticulture; are you looking for a way to escape the physically taxing labour and seasonal layoffs or never-ending rainy work days? If you have garden maintenance or nursery experience here in the PNW, have a passion for plants, and are interested in learning about landscape design and plant curation, we have an exciting and unique opportunity for you! Landscape drafting experience is not required, but a deep understanding of botanical plant names and their corresponding growth habits is a must. EDEN Projects is a landscape design and build management agency in Victoria, BC, offering residential and multi-residential landscape design-to-build services. You: Have worked in the horticulture industry for 3+ years Are passionate about plants Can glance at a list of botanical names and visualize the corresponding plants Know about how those plants will grow over time Are familiar with planting Zones 6 / 7 /8 Are resourceful and a critical thinker Have a general understanding of garden design and follow influencers online Are excited to be part of a team Are able to learn on the fly in a fast paced environment Can work under direction and appreciate the benefits of leadership UNICORN SKILLS. Experience with sketchup or morphilio (not required but desired) Position: Part time or full time depending on your skills, experience and availability. Competitive salary, based on experience.
