Child / Youth Therapist

NeurAlive Counselling & Neurofeedback is currently seeking two part-time Associate Child & Youth Focused Therapists to provide counselling services to children, youth and parents from our Langford or Fernwood Mental Health Centres. Responsibilities of the Position: As a contracted Registered Clinical Counsellor, Social Worker or Psychologist, you are a vital part of the NeurAlive team. You are responsible for providing assessment and counselling services to children / youth and their families, maintaining clinical records, collaborating with parents and other professionals, and being proactive in order to provide the best quality service, such as by engaging in professional development or seeking supervision within our team. Requirements: - Master’s degree or PhD in Counselling, Child & Youth Care, Psychology or Social Work, and registration with the relevant regulatory body - Liability insurance - Certification or training in Play / Art / or Sandtray therapy - Two years clinical experience working with children and youth - Attachment and trauma-informed lens - Willingness to work 3-4 shifts per week (15-20 direct client hours), ideally at least one evening and one weekend shift - Motivated to grow and develop your practice By Joining Our Team You Will Be Provided With: - Flexible start date January through March 2023 - Competitive compensation 15-20 hours per week, $84-$96 per hour - Extended Health Benefits including Vision & Dental - Extensive marketing support with the goal to fill your practice within 90 days - Regular Clinical Supervision and peer consultation, training opportunities, and access to an extensive online resource library - Full-time administrative support team handling the majority of your billing and scheduling needs - Web-based client management system and work email and phone - Flexible day, evening, and weekend shifts - Fully-equipped play and art therapy rooms, two-way observation mirror - Discounted neurofeedback sessions - The opportunity to work with a highly motivated and enthusiastic team with an excellent reputation.
