Job details • Location --Rural North Saanich, BC • Salary --$16.00 hourly for 80 to 90 hours bi-weekly • Terms of employment - Permanent employment - Full time • Overtime - To be determined • Start date - Starts as soon as possible Education • College/CEGEP • or equivalent experience Experience 3 years to less than 5 years Responsibilities Tasks • Administer bedside and personal care • Administer medications • Assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene • Assist in regular exercise, e.g., walk • Assume full responsibility for household (in absence of householder) • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties • Plan therapeutic diets and menus • Provide companionship • Provide personal care • Prepare and serve nutritious meals Credentials, Certificates • Health Care Aide Certificate Experience and specialization Target audience • Persons with Alzheimer's disease Additional information Security and safety • Criminal record check • Driving record check (abstract) • Immunization records • 3 Reference required Weight handling • Between 45 and 60 kg (100-132 lbs) Personal suitability • Punctuality • Client focus • Dependability • Efficient interpersonal skills • Flexibility • Initiative • Judgement • Organized • Reliability Screening questions • Are you available for the advertised start date? • Are you currently legally able to work in Canada? • Are you willing to relocate for this position? • Do you have previous experience in this field of employment? • Do you have the above-indicated required certifications?
