This is the newest and most advanced model (Airselect) of the Aircast. It has customizable, independent aircells inflated using the round black button at the top. The Airselects have the most advanced technology and are the most expensive of the Aircasts. The Standard has a durable, semi-rigid shell that supports the limb while providing protection. Housed within the shell are two adjustable distal aircells that provide compression and support the malleoli, effective in fracture healing and managing edema (swelling). SoftStrike technology absorbs and dissipates shock, while the light weight and lab-tested rocker sole combine to encourage a natural gait and a continuation of everyday activities.
