Graphic / Web Designer

Job Location This is an IN-HOUSE position based out of Victoria, BC APPLICANTS MUST CURRENTLY RESIDE IN THE GREATER VICTORIA AREA. WE WILL NOT ENTERTAIN APPLICANTS WISHING TO RELOCATE. Hours of work 30 – 40 hours per week or 6-8 hours per day Available working hours are Monday to Friday 7-5 Who is Exploration Sites? Exploration Sites is a data driven visual media company who specializes investor focused material for the mining and mineral exploration industry. We create, host, and manage websites for over one hundred publicly traded mining and mineral exploration companies. Job Description Exploration Sites is hiring a web/graphic designer to create and maintain webpages, post and corporate presentations for our more than 100 publicly traded exploration company clients. The successful candidate will provide a portfolio of past work in graphic and/or web design and must be proficient with computers. The position relies heavily on Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator and as such a basic understanding of the Adobe Suite is a requirement. A regular workday involves creating and maintain pages and posts for various WordPress websites, creating visual media content in the form of websites, corporate presentations and videos and communicating with clients around updates and content changes. Requirements for a successful candidate: • Working understanding of Adobe suite programs (Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere & After Effects) • Knowledge in Wordpress backend • Strong eye for design and structural layouts • Ability to follow instruction • Able to replicate a task in succession • Ability to communicate with clients on a professional level • Able to switch between multiple tasks while remaining productive • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JS is a plus Duties and responsibilities (examples): • Consult with clients to determine or create results • Create WordPress web pages and posts • Design logos • Select on-brand high quality images from stock photography or client provided datasets • Prepare, review and send promotional emails using MailChimp or other news dissemination providers • Perform quality control measures pre and post media publication
