Sidney Courier - Delivery Driver/Independent Contractor

Delivery Driver, Independent contractor Full Time - Average pay range is $25-$50/hour We are looking for an independent contractor with a vehicle suitable for courier services including vans to join our team. This position allows for schedule flexibility and at Sidney Courier we value work life balance and will work with you to create a perfect fit. In this position you are paid for every delivery you make. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES: - Deliver packages in a timely and efficient manner. - Excellent customer service skills. - Must be available to work Monday through Friday. No weekends or holidays required. - Comfortable using a smartphone - Comfortable sitting, standing, and walking for long periods of time, including climbing stairs - Self-motivated, responsible and punctual. - Efficient time management. - Effective communication skills with our customers and operational team. - Ability to follow the direction of Supervisor / Dispatcher. - Ability to lift up to 50lbs - Ability to drive in traffic QUALIFICATIONS: - MUST have a valid Class 5 driver license, no N / L. - MUST be over 21 years of age. - Must carry commercial vehicle insurance - Work Safe BC Insured - Clean drivers abstract. - Great knowledge of the southern Vancouver Island area - Courier or delivery driver experience an asset. - Attention to detail and ability to multitask - Strong communication skills. - Able to supply and operate your own vehicle - Must pass a criminal background check - Capable of working under time constraints to get packages delivered to customers on time. - Available to start work immediately - Positive attitude, good communication skills in front of customers, and ability to work well in a team environment.
