Administrative and Sales Clerk wanted in small watch repair shop

Meticulous Modern & Vintage Watch Repair is Victoria’s premier watch sales and repair workshop and has been serving the city and beyond for almost a decade. We are currently looking to add a new member to help us continue our high level of professional service to our community. The position includes, but is not limited to: ~ Intaking watches from clients at our storefront. ~ Communicating the status of watch repair projects with our clients and watchmakers. ~ Operating a point of sale. ~ Facilitating sales from our selection of pre-owned watches and accessories. ~ Filling out supplier order forms. ~ Opening and closing the shop. ~ In time and with training completing simple watch repairs such as changing batteries and straps throughout the day. This is a key holding position so we're looking for someone who is responsible, organized, positive, professional, comfortable with customer interaction and in possession of good communication skills. The job requires you to work by yourself once training is complete, so we would like someone who is comfortable and confident helping customers one on one. An interest in watches or experience in a similar field is not a prerequisite, but certainly would be an asset to any new employee. All training necessary will be provided. This position will start part-time, 3 days/week working from 9:30 am until about 5 pm with a starting wage of $19/hr then once some training is complete will transition to a full-time position working 4-5 days/week, with room for a wage increase as performance requires.
