Childcare available in my own home in the North Jubilee area. I am an older mom of one almost two year old. I am a well educated professional (BSc) but considering taking time from work to care for my little one until they hit preschool. I would like to offer care for another similarly aged child (preferably between 12-36 months) in my home. I use the RIE Educaring approach to raising my little one and would use the same caregiving approach with yours. I have a lovely yes space filled with open ended toys (appropriate for ages 0-2 currently), a Pickler triangle, arch, and ramp, foam climbing structures, and a ball pit. We also live a few blocks from several age-appropriate playgrounds that we visit daily. No TV. Right now I am working to add some Montessori-inspired spaces to my home, starting with a handwashing and snack-prep station in our kitchen. I try to adhere to the Ellen Satter division of responsibilities for feeding. If you practice baby-led weaning, I can provide a variety of healthy whole foods for meals and snacks. If you are hand-feeding or using purees or formula, I would ask you to pack lunch (etc) for your little one. I have taken the First-aid/CPR course for childcare workers. My second vaccine is booked for next week so I should have full immunity by early August. I am available from 7:30am to 6:00pm on weekdays, for full or part-time care. I would love to have another little one in the house and am just looking to earn enough to justify staying home for a few more years. I will give your child the same thoughtful care and attention that I give my own.
