GENERAL DESCRIPTION This position is responsible for supporting the design, development, implementation and ongoing upkeep of professional development programs that address the specific needs of REALTORS®. This role will assist with the delivery of education through a variety of modalities (e.g., face to face, hybrid, online). The Victoria Real Estate Board is an association created by and to support local Realtors and it recently celebrated its one hundredth anniversary. The VREB is staffed by twenty people who contribute to services, education, professional standards and advocacy on behalf of Victoria Realtors. Our team enjoys their work and we depend on each other to serve the membership in a positive and progressive way. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Education Delivery • assist with the design, development and delivery of new courses, with the goal of increasing the suite of VREB course offerings (in-person and online) • responsible for ensuring VREB owned courses are up to date, including liaising with Members and subject matter experts • responsible for course invigilation • advise on course delivery format • assist with the development of self-paced online training, including short videos, using in-house and Member expertise • develop annual course calendar • assist with VREB instructor support and development • research and propose new education topics / speakers • VREB REALTOR® Event conference and tradeshow coordination • opportunity to instruct, where appropriate • staff member of the Professional Development Committee, assisting with deliverables • participate on the provincial Education Operations Committee • review all course feedback and analyze data for the purposes of reporting and improvement New Member Orientation Coordinate New Member Orientation (NMO) as follows: • collaborate on design, delivery and in-house training sessions for new VREB members • update and create content for online course including audio/video • follow up with department managers regarding course content, ensure information remains accurate and appropriate supplements are provided • prepare NMO reports as required • research speakers and future education topics General • assist with the effective execution of departmental and organizational projects as assigned • organize, prioritize and coordinate multiple projects on tight deadlines while maintaining high standards of quality • prepare monthly reports including course/event evaluations, compliance and recommendations • responsible for updating departmental procedures • participates in audit and administrative reviews to ensure accuracy of records • maintains confidentiality of information and uses discretion when addressing sensitive issues • provide vacation coverage within the department as required • perform other related duties as required QUALIFICATIONS • completion of related/relevant post-secondary education such as a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (e.g. Education, Adult Education), or similar, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered • minimum 2 years’ continuous experience analyzing participant needs, planning learning solutions and developing educational offerings using a wide range of learning technologies • have knowledge of or an interest in learning more about the real estate industry • appreciate working in a busy, diverse and evolving industry • ability to organize and manage workload priorities and meet deadlines • ability to write and speak professionally, proof-read and show attention to detail to provide quality assurance • ability to use technology (eg. Microsoft Office suite) in an office environment • working knowledge of Articulate 360 an asset Benefits: We offer a starting salary of $55,000-$60,000/year with a comprehensive extended benefits package including 15 days paid vacation time and 12 sick days (after completion of probation period). This is a full-time position (35-hour work week, Monday-Friday) in our newly renovated office with free parking. Hybrid working available. Additional benefits include education reimbursement, secure bike lock up, change room/showers/lockers.
