Here is a rare vintage Okura "Vase of the Noble Orchid". This is an exquisite Japanese porcelain vase. A limited number were created in 1978 for Franklin Porcelain, by Okura, the renowned Japanese porcelain house. Subscribers to this series were by invitation only. Papers of authenticity come with the piece. These documents assure that this vase is the first in a set of four to be offered. And further, that this is the genuine article. The certificate of Authenticity is signed by Nobuo Miyazawa, Deputy Chairman; November 1977. Please see the all the pictures. The gold decoration is 24 carat, enhancing the beauty of the orchid flowers pictured on the body of the vase. Originally, this vase was sold by Franklin Porcelain for $180.
